portraits of visitors
2011

In collaboration with the Belgian photographer, Bart Michielsen, B & W portraits were shot with large-format camera to expand the impact of the miniature works: needle-sculpted textile objects made between 2004 and 2008. The strange presence and familiarity of these ‘visitors’ allows viewers to experience their individual capacity for empathy.
